“Love at Home” is a horribly boring piece of music. The only way i can make it through happily is if i sing it in a really bad Russian Boris Badenov-type accent.
@Mariana: Yeah, it is pretty sweet. There are some advantages to coming from a religious tradition with a really strong long-standing congregational singing tradition.
@Heather: The real problem is the way everyone glissandos the “Love at home, love at home” bit—it’s enough to send someone who processes hearing like me into shudders.

That is one of our mothers least favorite songs. Actually, she hates it. She says the words are nice, but the tune is incredibly awful.
I just stumbled here (via your FB links), but this Church Music Player page is way too awesome. How come no one ever told me this existed?! :)

My father used to make us sing it when we fought during FHE. It is the sound of torture.
