If it’s inside it doesn’t count

A friend of mine reports on her blog* that the women in her ward got chocolates this past Mothers Day.

All really very unremarkable—chocolates are a very ordinary default Mothers Day gift in our church, after all.

Well, unremarkable except for the latte fillings the ones from her ward had, that is.

* Which i’m not linking to, since she regularly includes details about her children on it.

That is funny - sorta. A lady in our RS complained (quite vocally - feeling quite ripped off you could tell) that she had gotten a Latte flavored one. The assorted pack at Costco bites again. I had saved mine to enjoy at a later time only to find out that I too had a Latte flavored one, finding myself feeling somewhat slighted. Since I'm not a fan of Mother's Day - it actually was more appropriate to my way of thinking than not.

Hmmm…

You know, KRad, you’re more or less in the Seattle area.

The friend of mine i referred to in the original post is also in the Seattle area.

I’m starting to think that it isn’t just the non-Mormons in Seattle who like their coffee so much…

That was annoying. My comment - a long one - didn't post and then erased. The very short version is our ward's women got nothing for Mother's Day this year due to some women throwing a fit over last's year's full-size candy bars and saying they thought we should get nothing this year. So we got nothing.
