Naming practices

Jeanne and i only had female children, but if we’d had a male child i might have pushed for naming him Thyson (i could make a case that it was a variant of Tison, i suppose) so that everyone could bear testimony in his name along with Jesus’s.

You really are evil. And really should be destroyed. ;)

See now, I automatically pronounced that like Tyson in my head because I wouldn't be surprised if people spelled Tyson that way. And then I was confused about bearing testimony in Tyson's name along with Jesus's name. I don't say "in the name of thy son Jesus Christ." I was taught to just say "in the name of Jesus Christ." I have stuck with it and haven't gotten all fancy like a lot of people do. I think my favorite ever was the woman who was praying and ended it with "In the name thy son, the sacrificial lamb, our older brother, the almighty Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." I mean with something like that, how can you not yell out Amen!

Everyone should now be backing away in preparation for the lightning strike. :)
