It’s not unique to Mormons, but a lot of us Mormons have this thing about businesses being open on Sunday, and very loudly say that all (or at least nearly all) businesses ought to be shut that day. Myself, i just wonder why they have something against observant Seventh-Day Adventists and Jews having a convenient day to shop.

I've never heard anyone say a store should be closed on Sundays period.
Ah! So you've never lived in Utah (or the Bible Belt, for that matter), i see!
Much as they might hate to admit it, this is something the LDS and Southern Baptist communities have in common - at least in Shreveport, Louisiana!
As a matter of fact, no. And I don't want to.
I even told my friend (in Utah no less) to break the Sabbath on Sunday and go get some medicine for her daughter's diaper rash. Oh, I am so bad.
Amusing point. Starbucks where she lives (Salt Lake area) is a very busy place selling hot chocolate and has a kids' menu and everything. They are closed on Sunday. Somewhere there's some sort of irony in there.
